Some diners point out that the wait times can be longer during peak hours, especially on Friday lunchtimes when the restaurant reaches full capacity. While many appreciate the bustling energy, those in a hurry might find it less convenient. Additionally, the children’s menu, though available, could benefit from more diverse options to cater to all tastes. Lastly, a few reviews suggest that the minifish portion, while generous, could be misleading in size for first-time visitors who expect a smaller serving. Overall, these concerns are minimal in comparison to the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
First time we have ordered from here. Friendly staff. Great service Great food. Brilliant value for money. Ordered small cod and chips twice. Fish was big and beautifully cooked. Chips portion was massive and lovely golden. Will definitely be visiting again. Next time just one portion chips.
Me and my boyfriend come here often, the portion sizes are brilliant, always loads of chips, we usually get a small to share and there’s loads. Staff are very friendly, polite and patient. The chips aren’t greasy and always piping hot. Highly recommend.
Fantastic fish n chips we had mibi fish n chips and large fish n chips the mini was huge. Very well cooked the batter was sublime
Food was lovely really big portions. Service was fast and friendly
Great chippy, lovely food and everyone is always super friendly and funny to chat with
Went in and staff very friendly and helpful and patient. The food was delicious, had chips and cheese burger and it was better than McDonalds
A really good fish & chip shop located in the next village to me, where the food is always fresh & the staff are friendly. The only downside is that they only take cash, which in this digital age proves somewhat difficult and means every time we are going here, I first have to go and withdraw cash first.
Definitely try the Minifish Special and the Chicken Curry & Chips. The cod is known for its beautifully cooked batter, and the chips are always massive and golden.
